South of France – travel photography

Technically I know I should be blogging weddings, but I thought I’d share some photo prettiness from a lovely week we had in the south of France recently. Because I carry so much kit around at weddings (well, I should say my husband does – thanks assistant!), I took a break from heavy lenses and went with just my trusted old favourite Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. It’s cheap, it’s light and it never fails to produce lovely images – I love it. Here’s just a few things that caught my eye. Jade x

An afternoon stop in the beautiful village of Aiguines, 800 metres above sea level

I have a thing about doors...

Crazy beach front at Nice - taking inspiration from a favourite photographer of mine, David Hilliard - do go and check out his work

Brilliant sculpture called the ‘Nomade’ by the Spanish artist Jaume Plensa - a figure made entirely of letters of the alphabet, seen in Antibes

Kate & Jamie – wedding photography at Rivervale Barn, Yateley

Kate married Jamie at the stunning Rivervale Barn in Yateley, with their gorgeous little girl Sophia as their flower girl. Kate got ready in the Cornstore Honeymoon Cottage, whist the groomsmen were just outside greeting guests, so there was plenty of peeking and hiding behind the curtains (cue me trying not to trip up whilst juggling camera, door and curtain trying to get in and out!).

Hope you enjoy the photos and please feel free to leave some love for Kate and Jamie by clicking on the ‘Add a comment’ link at the bottom of this post. Jade x
