Portrait photography – my two nieces

Now that the wedding season has finished this year for me (boo! bring on next year!) I shall most probably be sharing with you random pictures and published work, aren’t you in for a treat!

So to start, here are a few pictures of my gorgeous nieces that I took over the summer (have finally found the time to edit them). They’re too cute for words – all shot with a 50mm portrait lens for those that are interested (I can only shoot prime when not doing a wedding, much prefer the flexibility of my 24-70mm when having to capture lots of things quickly!) Whitby, North Yorkshire

A couple of weekends ago, Jon and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a trip up north (many many many miles up north – the M1 is a tedious thing) to Whitby, where his parents have recently bought a holiday home. A big thank you to them for letting us stay for free in their beautiful house, which is right on the harbour’s front in the centre of town. Whitby is a picture perfect little place, full of orange and red houses all stacked upon one another, competing for a sea view. Here’s a selection of my favourite pics from a lovely weekend – we even had three days of sunshine, who knew the sun shone up north?! Jade x

The most amazing view from the house! Simply perfect

Walked to Robin Hood's Bay from Whitby - and then walked back. 13 miles and a lot of sunburn really hurts...

Rewarding pub lunch at Robin Hood's Bay. Could eat a LOT more of this on a daily basis!
